Music in Wales Exhibition St. Mary's Church Hall, Fishguard

The exhibition from the National Library of Wales covers the history of music in Wales from early folk music up until the present day. Traditional Welsh instruments, such as the crwth and the harp are covered, as are brass bands, orchestras, and the roles of congregational singing, Welsh choirs and Eisteddfodau in Welsh musical life.

19th and 20th century Welsh composers are included and each decade from the 1940s onwards is given its own panel covering not only the phenomenal growth of Welsh pop music but also the international success of artists such as Bryn Terfel and Katherine Jenkins.

Open: Fri 13 June, 3.30 - 7.30 pm. Sat 14 June, 11 - 4 pm. Sun 15 June, 10 am - 1 pm.
